1. How long have you and your significant other been together?
Since February 2009; exactly 3 years!
2. How did you meet? {What's your "love" story?}
We met when I moved into his ward at BYU, and we were put in the same FHE group (I know, so cliche!)
3. If married, how long have you been married?
Since November 21, 2009; a little over 2 years.
4. If you are married, where did you get married at? Big or small wedding?
We were married in Campinas, Brazil. Our wedding was average-size: 200 guests.
5. Do you have any nicknames that you call one another?
Not any creative ones, unfortunately. I call him Guguinha (Little Gus), and he calls me Mazinha (Little Marj).
6. Name 3 things you love most about your honey.
He's always happy, and laughs about everything.
He's meek and patient.
He's a true go-getter.
He's meek and patient.
He's a true go-getter.
7. Tell us how he proposed? Or your ideal proposal?
He took me to Cocina Toscana in Salt Lake City, then we drove to Draper Temple because he was pretending like his home-teachee got stranded there. As we 'looked for her' I found a huge gift box with a bouquet of roses beside it. Inside that box was another box, then another box, then another box (you get the idea), then a box with rose petals and a ring box in it. He got down on one knee and told me things I can't remember because I was crying so much. It was the happiest moment of my life up to that point. His proposal was ideal to me.
8. Is he a flowers and teddy bear kind of guy for v-day, or strawberries, champagne, and rose petals?
Neither. More like flowers and a gift.
9. Are you a sunset dinner on the beach kind of girl, or pop a movie in and relax on the couch?
Relax on the couch!
10. Tell us one thing you'd like to do with your significant one day. If you could do anything? Go anywhere?
A cruise in Greece. A trip to Montenegro, New Zealand, Ireland... I love traveling to naturally beautiful places, with gorgeous landscapes and such.
11. Tell us what you plan on doing on this Valentine's Day.
Oh it's so sad, but we won't be together; so probably a Skype video call on the 14th, and then a real celebration when we're together! Like a nice dinner and simple gift exchange.
12. Are you asking for anything this Valentine's day?
No.
13. Give us one piece of advice of keeping a relationship strong and full of love.
Each day, take the time to think: "What's something I can do today to make my spouse happy?" and then do it! Trust me, it works miracles!
14. Show us a picture of what love means to you.
